Evangelist TC Siame Biography

Tresford Chafumila Siame (TC Siame) was born on the 12th February 1965 in a town of Ndola in the Southern African State called Zambia. Born from a Mr Ashala Siame and Fidress Namwendo who are both namwanga by tribe originating from the northern part of Zambia . He is the fourth born in a family of ten children, comprising six sisters and four brothers.

Both the father and mother were of a Christian background and the father was an exceptionally staunch Christian belonging to the United Church Of Zambia. His father made a living as a Prison Wader while his mother use to sell vegetables at a local Market.

TC Siame started Primary education in 1972 at Mawilo Primary School in Ndola. As a very bright boy, he was involved in a lot of academic activities such as the JETS and in 1979 came out of the Zambian widely read newspaper then, with the title “Meet Tresford Young Technician” after having assembled an electronic radio receiver for the International Trade Fair.

In 1980 he was selected to Kansenshi Secondary School where he did his O levels. Blessed with a quick learning personality, Tresford was awarded a scholarship by a Copper Mining firm to study “A Levels “ which later led to his pursuing a Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Loughborough University Of Technology in the UK between 1987 and 1990.

TC’s liking of music started while at primary School when he used to listen to local Zambian musicians, like the “Great Which” and the “Black Foot”. There has never been a serious revelation of singing in his life apart from participating in Gospel singing with his three sisters at home.

While at University, like most of university students, TC loved Discos and parties and drinking of alcohol became the dominant feature of TC’s life at University. “Parties did not carry flavour without TC” says Dewey, a close friend of TC. His favourite music became Funk, House and Soul music. Musicians of the likes of Luther Vandross, LLcoo J “I need Love”. He remembers coming from the lectures at Engineering Department on his way to the house of residence-Forest Court. As he approached his residence singing a song which he was listening through headphones of his newly acquired Walkman, He suddenly heard his house keeper who was busy cleaning the windows shout “ TC You can’t sing, you will end up breaking all these windows!!”. This was how bad TC was when it came to imitating western musicians.

After graduating from University in 1990, TC came back to Zambia and joined the Mines as a Senior Assistant Engineer . He was promoted to the position of Sectional Engineer in 1993. It was during this period that TC met the Lord JESUS. After having Worked for the mines for almost ten years, he joined Siemens LTD as Sales and Projects Engineer the job he is still doing.

When he came to Zambia, his heavy drinking and Party life continued. Soon he was going to meet the lord Jesus without his knowledge.

It all happened that TC started hating the Alcoholic and party life which he was leading and decided it was high time he changed to a straight life. He started attending Sunday Church Services at a local Church. The life never changed. One day a man of God called Apostle Webster Mwima overhead a conversation between TC and one of his bosses about the Sunday meetings. The Apostle approached TC and asked him whether he knew why he was going to church. TC answered “To Worship God”. He further asked whether TC was born again.

“What do you mean” asked TC.

“Have you received Jesus as your personal Savior” answered the Apostle.

After a short discussion, an appointment was made for a sharing of the word with the Apostle who gladly started paying evangelical visits to TC who finally accepted the Lord JESUS Christ in 1992. From then onwards, his life has drastically changed. God revealed his calling as an Evangelist 3 years later.

TC got married to a Miss Charity Bwalya in 1996. They have two children, a boy and a Girl. They have both got Hebrew names, Azariah and Athaliah Athaliah means God be Exalted and Azariah meaning God has Helped.

God started using TC in composing Gospel songs. So far TC has composed more than thirty Original Gospel songs. Together with his wife, they lead a Praise Team for the local Church called Christian Ministries who had been very instrumental in the production of the first Album called “Yesu Mwaishile ine ne mubi” a local phrase meaning “Jesus came for me a sinner”

TC is currently working on another Album to be called “Niba Yesu Banchite fi” meaning “it is Jesus Who has done it in me”.
